Deak’s Dirt is quiet this week with D23 coming up. There’s going to be a new release and packaging for the Blu Rays. As for Battlefront, FIGHTER FLIGHT GAMEPLAY TRAILER!

In Biggs’ Bull$&#*! Jedi News has a rumor about The Force Awakens Blu Ray coming on April 26. Also, J.J. Abrams broke his back while working on The Force Awakens.

Deak’s Dirt is light this week. Three day tickets for Celebration Europe are already sold out, which is nuts. Vader Down Star Wars/Vader comics crossover is a thing that’s coming. Most importantly, AFTERMATH EXCERPT.

Biggs’ Bull$#!& is also light this week, with only a weird rumbling that potentially three Star Wars shows are heading to Netflix.

This week on Tosche Station Radio, it’s the big news from San Diego Comic Con!

Kicking off the show, the hosts highlight What’s New on the Blog. Bria reviewed Lando #1, Darth Vader #7, and Princess Leia #5. We had a Go/No-Go and full review of Dark Disciple from Bria. The Dichotomy of Revan by Bria explored the importance of Revan and representation. Nanci did a Go/No-Go for Imperial Justice. We had our TPM live commentary. Nanci explained why science Fiction must err on the side of diversity.

In Fixer’s Flash, Nanci finished Dark Disciple, read Yours All Along by Roni Loren, read Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge, and is currently reading Liesmith by Alis Franklin. Nanci is also almost done with her book! Meanwhle, Brian has been busy with soccer. All the soccer.

Deak’s Dirt starts with publishing news. Our friend Janine Spendlove is writing a short story for the Star Wars Insider! Chuck Wendig writing all three Aftermath books. On Wednesday we got news about the Journey to The Force Awakens titles. There was an Aftermath synopsis – Wedge is in it! The covers for the YA books were released (Phil Noto!) and we got a synopsis for Lost Stars. Marvel announced a Chewbacca miniseries. Hasbro also announced a ton of toys, including a Black Series Sabine figure!

In Biggs Bull$%#*, we got news that the second standalone will be a Han Solo anthology film directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord of LEGO Movie fame.

San Diego Comic Con was the big news this week, and it takes center stage for Camie’s Concerns. We break down the news, information, and excitement from the big Hall H panel.

According to Guinness World Records, The Force Awakens second trailer set a new world record as the most viewed movie trailer on YouTube within 24 hours, with 30.65 MILLION views.

Tosche Station: One Year and Counting

38 years ago today, Star Wars was born into the world.

1 year ago today, Brian and I got married.

The matching anniversaries are not a coincidence.

When Brian and I got engaged, we immediately knew we wanted to have our wedding on the real Star Wars Day, aka May 25. Given that date fell on a Sunday, as well as during Star Wars Weekends and Memorial Day Weekend in particular, it was the easiest decision to make of all the wedding planning. We were able to have our ceremony and reception in the morning/afternoon, eat delicious brunch foods, and then head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the evening for James Arnold Taylor’s show and the Symphony in the Stars fireworks.

Anniversaries are a time for reflection, and since we never shared our Star Wars wedding photos on the blog, you’re getting them now. The official photos were taken by Brian’s brother, who is an amazing photographer, and the others come from my iPhone and Bria’s camera.

We’d also like to thank Robin Smith of Rhapsody in Blooms, our wonderful wedding planner, Shannon Donahue of Tulle Box Details for all of the fabulous artwork, Emily for serving as our officiant, and Shane for being DJ. Not to mention all our family and friends who celebrated with us and were in the wedding party.

Star Wars might just be a movie series, but the connections Brian and I have made through fandom have been invaluable. I don’t know what my life would be like without Star Wars, nor do I want to think about it. So thank you, George, for everything, and Happy Birthday Star Wars.

And Happy Anniversary, Brian. “I know.”
