Kicking off the show, the hosts highlight what’s New on the Blog. Bria gave a spoiler-filled review of Pacific Rim, and both Brian and Bria gave Pacific Rim a “go” in their non-spoiler review.

In Fixer’s Flash, Nanci’s been busy writing a new book. She also caught a showing of Back to the Future at Cinemark’s classic movie series. Next up? Ghostbusters. Both the hosts continued getting their Stargate SG-1 on. Meanwhile, Brian started reading an advance copy of Empire and Rebellion: Razor’s Edge by Martha Wells.

Deak’s Dirt starts out with wardrobe news, New Her Universe merchandise coming for SDCC, featuring Ahsoka, Jaina, and Mara. Shirts will be available online starting July 18. Fans at Celebration Europe will get a first look at Star Wars Rebels. Angry Birds Star Wars is getting a prequel! Kotobuyika showed off the concept art for their new Mara Jade figure. And finally, in our Episode VII corner: it looks like the scripts are finished! Maybe. Possibly.

On this iteration of Camie’s Concerns, Mike Cooper of the new Star Wars fanblog Eleven-ThirtyEight joins the hosts for a general Star Wars roundtable. The trio discusses everything from Mike’s new site to diversity in Star Wars.

On this episode of Tosche Station Radio, the hosts are joined by staff writer Bria for a discussion of diversity in Star Wars, a review of Crucible, and ask where the Expanded Universe should go from here.

Kicking off the show, the hosts highlight what’s New on the Blog. Bria addressed the lack of diversity in Star Wars. Crucible released, and there was lots of discussion. First there was our new non-spoiler Go/No-go feature, Brian’s review, and finally Bria’s review. Nanci reviewed Overdraft: The Orion Offensive by John Jackson Miller. In Fixer’s Flash, Nanci’s been busy reading Overdraft: The Orion Offensive and an ARC of Kenobi by John Jackson Miller. She’s also working on some original fiction and somewhere in there, found the time to sell a short story. Brian also finished Kenobi and started watching Arrested Development. Only a few years too late to save it. Bria rewatched Dollhouse and picked up a new show to throw on her fandom plate, Hannibal.

Deak’s Dirt starts with more Disney Parks rumors. Will it be the largest ever? The Orlando Business Journal says yes. Paul S. Kemp says his duology is “on standby”, cites Disney and the Sequel Trilogy being the cause. Empire and Rebellion: Razor’s Edge by Martha Wells gets a blurb. Nanci gives a dramatic reading. Bria might be a tad excited for this. Disney is planning a large Star Wars presence at D23 expo. Also, Comic Con (July 18-21) and CE2 (July 26-28) are coming up! Let’s home for some exciting news. In release news, out now is William Shakespeare’s Star Wars. Get thee to a bookstore!

On this week’s Camie’s Concerns, it’s a spoiler-filled review of the latest Expanded Universe release: Crucible by Troy Denning. How did the bookend for three of the most important characters in the Saga fare? From there, the hosts segue into discussing just where the EU needs to go from here and what the Sequel Trilogy means for it.

She also saw Man of Steel and kicked off a Star Wars rewatch.

Deak’s Dirt starts with a bunch of Expanded Universe news. Mercy Kill is out in paperback! You should go buy a copy. Razor’s Edge’s release date has been moved up to September 24. Also, if you’re waiting for a Scoundrels paperback, that date will be November 26. Knights Archive spotted a blurb for Darth Maul: Lockdown. It’s a summer vacation kickoff on this episode of Tosche Station Radio!

Kicking off the show, the hosts highlight what’s New on the Blog. There’s not much this week since much of the staff were busy traveling, but Nanci took a look at nostalgia and Star Wars.

This week’s Fixer’s Flash starts with an announcement from the hosts. They got engaged! Outside of that, Nanci and Brian both finished off Crucible and have gotten into Kenobi by John Jackson Miller. While on a trip to Seattle, they visited the Science Fiction/EMP Museum and strolled through some of the geeky exhibits on display. Somewhere in there, they also find some time to watch some Stargate. Nanci got her Geek Trivia on and Brian went and saw Man of Steel.

Deak’s Dirt starts with news out of E3 in Anaheim. Battlefront III is finally happening and it got an official preview. In television news, According to Kevin Kiner, The Clone Wars bonus content could be up to 10 episodes. Speaking of the Clone Wars, the show nabbed two Emmy wins over the weekend. In the Episode VII corner, George Lucas is upbeat about an Abrams-led Star Wars. An Episode VII cast breakdown also leaked to the web. A few weeks ago, Nanci talked about taking a survey about Star Wars and Disney World during Star Wars Weekends. Now we have two reports about the inevitable expansion of Hollywood Studios.Theme Park Insider is reporting on two different ideas for a Star Wars Land. Meanwhile, Comic Book Movie says that the Star Wars additions are few.

On this week’s Camie’s Concerns, the hosts celebrate the first day of summer by investigating some geeky vacation ideas. Specifically, the fandom-y things you can do at theme parks. Nturally, there’s discussion of what kind of Star Wras-themed attractions Disney should consider putting into their parks. But for those looking for a geeky vacation to take this summer, the hosts offer their advice on where to go and what to see.

Deak’s Dirt starts with news that Star Wars Books has announced the title of the new James S.A. Corey Han Solo novel – Star Wars: Empire and Rebellion: Honor Among Thieves. The novel will be published in Spring 2014. The blog Tenth Letter of the Alphabet has a great article about the evolution of the Star Wars logo. Star Wars Reads Day to return October 5. The Course of the Force lightsaber relay in support of Make-a-Wish is back this summer, kicking off July 9 from Skywalker Ranch and arriving in San Diego on July 16. For $150, registrants can carry the lightsaber during the relay. All proceeds to go charity. The Nerdist also kicked off a multi-part web series leading up to the event. In sad fandom news, Matt Smith is leaving Doctor Who after four years.

In news that will delight most of our staff and listeners, ABC has picked up SHIELD and released an awesome promo video. Finally, there’s Star Wars Rebels, the new animated series from Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman.

Camie’s Concerns covers that last bit of news. The hosts are joined by Bria to discuss the news that Star Wars is returning to animated content with a brand new show called Rebels. Bad Robot’s producer said that Episode VII is targeting an early 2014 filming start. Mark Hamill crashed RotJ screening on May 4, but still is not confirmed for Episode VII. In other Star Wars related news, a full guest list for Star Wars Weekends was released. On the gaming side of things, Lucasfilm selected EA for multi-year licensing deal. In other franchise news, the Ender’s Game trailer dropped! Finally, legendary special effects and creature artist Ray Harryhausen passed away.

Kicking off the show, the hosts highlight what’s New on the Blog this week. It’s pretty much been a Bria show as the Waru Express continued on its the journey through the NJO and reviewed Legacy #4. She was also at AwesomeCon in DC over the weekend and had a Convention Report.

In Fixer’s Flash, Nanci took advantage of her Orlando resident status and took a trip to the Magic Kingdom. On the film side, she saw 42. Meanwhile, she read trhough Dragonpocalypse #2 by Matthew Bowers. It’s got dragons! IN SPACE! What more could you possibly want? Brian’s still reading through “Season of Passage” by Christopher Pike and is having a hard time sleeping as a result. For convention season, he got a shiny new camera that should come in handy for costume shoots. Bria attended AwesomeCon in Washington DC and is still motoring through the Waru Express. Shane’s been keeping busy with League of Legends and also watched the Abrams Star Trek to gear up for Into Darkness.

Deak’s Dirt starts with Kathleen Kennedy discussing Episode VII and Star Wars spinoffs at CinemaCon. Variety mused that she might also be in the running to take over Disney. In EU news, Vader’s Little Princess was released on Tuesday. Go pick it up! Star Wars: Legacy #2 was released Wednesday. Head to the blog and check out Bria’s review. In that other Star franchise, a Star Trek Into Darkness teaser clip was released. Over on the Marvel film side, a Thor: The Dark World teaser dropped. Film rights for Daredevil have reverted back to Marvel from Fox

On the rumor front, someone claiming to have worked at Lucasfilm said that the next Star Wars animated project would be Star Wars: Reclamation. Don’t hold your breath, it was a fake. Tor.com looked at the Star Wars fandom with a piece they called You Take Your Star Wars, I’ll Take Mine. In Episode VII rumors, Harrison Ford chats with Letterman, Anthony Daniels says he’s not sitting by phone waiting for call. In actual news, Disney announced alternating episodes and standalones would be the plan to have a Star Wars film in theaters every year. Finally in sad news, Richard LeParmentier has passed away.
