Lucasfilm announced today that they will be postponing this fall’s releases of Episode II and Episode III in 3D. In the press release, they stated that the change was due to a focus all of their time and efforts on Episode VII. New release dates for the 3D-ified films will be announced at some point in the future.
So they’re dropping their cheap ploy for more money to focus completely on making new content?
I really think Lucasfilm has taken a turn for the better!
Yes, heaven forbid Lucasfilm offer fans who may have not had the privilege of enjoying Star Wars in a theatrical setting the chance to see it.
Here’s the thing: you don’t have to give them your money if you don’t want to.
As someone who was born after the Classic Trilogy, I’m rather looking forward to seeing the Classic Trilogy on big screen.
I definitely was too! I remember seeing the releases in… was it 96 or 97? But it would be amazing to get to see all of them on the big screen again.
