I know we were all hoping that everything J.J. Abrams said was a lie and that the fantastic Benedict Cumberbatch would, in spite of everything that’s been said, end up being Khan. But according to SFX, Karl Urban has just revealed that the Sherlock star will actually be Gary Mitchell. Those of you who aren’t familiar with who Gary Mitchell is should hie yourself to Netflix and watch the episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before.” If what Urban has said is true (despite some production staff flatly denying the inclusion of Gary Mitchell), this could be almost as interesting as Khan.

In more news from SFX, Zachary Levi (Chuck), will be taking on the role of Fandral in Thor 2. Originally meant to be Fandral, he had to bow out due to schedule concerns, but is now back in the role, due to the current actor bowing out due to his role as Prince Charming in Once Upon a Time.
