Because I’m incapable of only talking about this book in gifs even on April Fool’s Day, let me say this about the book: it’s great.  Do yourself a favor and go out right now and pick up a copy of Kanan #1 by Greg Weisman and Pepe Larraz.  If nothing else, buy this book for Larraz’s art because his Caleb is the cutest little Padawan puppy this side of Coruscant.  This is actually one of the most beautifully expressive books I’ve read in a while.  Weisman knocks it out of the park on the writing front and despite it being obvious how this book will go, I would happily read an entire book about those first few months when Caleb was Depa’s padawan.  They’re a great team together even though Caleb obviously still has a lot to learn from her.

Also?  I won’t spoil it for you but Weisman does something HUGE a few pages in.  It’s what warranted three of the above gifs.

Seriously though.  Go buy this book because Kanan #1 gets a 5/5 from me.
