Cosplay Monday: Doctor Doom

It’s time for another Cosplay Monday and we have to warn you: the following images might be disturbing… because they are JUST THAT CUTE!  (Yeah, we’ve fallen into a bit of a pattern here.)  But hey, when something this awesome appears on your tumblr dash, you just have to share it with everyone!

Enter the great and terrible Victor Von Doom!

Just try and tell me that’s not the cutest thing ever!  To top it off, his costume looks just as good if not even better than the costumes of some adult Doctor Dooms that I’ve seen around conventions.

Cosplay Week: Tropic Thunder

Cosplay Week continues with Bria’s personal favorite costume from Dragon*Con and that’s saying something given how many awesome costumes were at the con.  Once again, I don’t know who the cosplayer was so if anyone recognizes him, please let us know so we can credit accordingly!

Everyone remembers Tropic Thunder, right?  It was a comedy from 2008 that riffed on action films and is responsible for a lot of gifs of Robert Downey Jr. in blackface on tumblr.  One of the funniest parts of the film were the fake film trailers at the start.  RDJ’s character starred in a fictious film called “Satan’s Alley”, Jack Black’s character was in a Nutty Professor, and Ben Stiller’s character is the ailing action star.  His trailer is for the latest in his franchise, Scorcher VI.  (Check it out on YouTube if you don’t remember.)  I positively love the film and when I saw this costume, I went running after the guy to snag a picture.  Props to this awesome costumer for rocking a minor yet hilarious costume like this one!

Cosplay Week: Mary Poppins

And we’re back with Cosplay Week!  We saw so many awesome costumes at Celebration VI and Dragon*Con that we just had to share some of them with you as soon as possible!    Again, we don’t know who the cosplayers were for most of these so if you recognize the costumer, please let us know so we can give proper credit!

Today’s awesome cosplay by Lisa was spotted Friday night of Dragon*Con.  At first glance, she’s just Mary Poppins, right?  Which is amazing all on its own because who doesn’t love Mary Poppins?  But take another look.  The handle of her umbrella is a sonic screwdriver, her bag is a TARDIS, and she’s wearing a smaller version of the Fourth Doctor’s scarf!  If this isn’t a good argument for Mary Poppins being the Twelth Doctor, then we don’t know what is!

Cosplay Week: Korra

It’s Cosplay Monday!  No wait, that’s not right.  Today’s Sunday.  Actually, we’ve got something better for you than just Cosplay Monday: it’s Cosplay Week!  Between Celebration VI and Dragon*Con, we at Tosche Station have seen a TON of fantastic costumes lately and we couldn’t wait to share some of them with you.  So for this week only, we’ll be posting an awesome costume that we saw these past two conventions every day!  We don’t know who the cosplayers were for most of these so if you recognize the costumer, please let us know so we can give proper credit!

Cosplay Monday: I ain’t afraid of no ghosts!

Louisville GhostbustersEvery week, we feature some awesome cosplayers on the blog, and when you run into these guys at FandomFest, then there’s really no question about who our next featured costumers are going to be! Complete with some of the most realistic proton packs I’ve ever seen on a Ghostbusters cosplayer, ghost traps and even a plushie Slimer, these guys were great.

Meet the Louisville Ghostbusters! This group of really fun guys had a booth set up at FandomFest, handing out business cards that said “We are ready to believe you!” While the guys no longer have their own website, you can check out this YouTube video of them checking out Waverly Hills Sanitorium. Check out their Facebook page for much better pictures than the one I took with my phone, including this one of the guys posing with Ecto 1 (Click the picture for a better view).

In the meantime, if you’re heading to GenCon in Indianapolis next month, you can meet the guys, check out their proton packs and ghost traps, and get some tips on how to create your own Ghostbusters costume.

Stay tuned for for my FandomFest recap later today!
