This month’s episode is just in time for Halloween. The air is getting crisp, the wind is raking through the leaves, and there’s pumpkin spice in everything. That can mean only one thing—it’s time to bring the Harry Potter love. Join Bria and Emily as they work through some thought-provoking questions regarding the magical world—from everything regarding Snape’s character to what house Batman would be sorted into. Also hear our thoughts on new TV series Sleepy Hollow and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.

Super late to the party on this episode, I know, but I feel compelled to defend Falling Skies. I’ve been watching since the beginning and find it really compelling. (Which I definitely can not say about Walking Dead. I couldn’t even finish the first season of that.) The only similarity between the two shows as far as I’m concerned is the post-apocalyptic setting, but that applies to half of genre entertainment these days. Especially in the most recent season, Falling Skies has dealt with a lot of interesting ethical and political questions and interpersonal dynamics. If you enjoy alien invasion stories, it might just be worth another look.
And just because something doesn’t have a huge Tumblr fandom doesn’t mean that it’s not good. It may just mean that the fandom doesn’t happen to hang out there.
